Healthy Youth Volunteers!
On March 10th I left my job, as a Wilderness Therapy Field Instructor, with Second Nature Entrada. I'm not sure I could have asked for a better last week in the field. It was amazing. A perfect ending to an amazing 3 year journey with a great company and even better friends.
On March 11th I drove my car (with my life packed into the trunk) down to Vegas and soon found myself on a plane with my friend Alyssa for 2 weeks in Ecuador.

Eventually I drove back to PA to spend a couple weeks with my family before taking off.

My last month in the states was filled with more love than I can possibly say. It's been crazy to contemplate the idea of what I've chosen my life to look like for the next 2 years. I still have many questions and many anxieties, but I think that's normal. If anything it would probably be a red flag if I wasn't nervous!
I have times that I wonder why I've chosen this path... sometimes I wonder if I've made the right choice... Though in my heart I know I'm on the right path.
Meeting everyone today helped to ease a lot of my anxieties, it's great to meet the people I'll be spending the next two years with. I'm sure we'll get a lot closer during the next 10 weeks of training!
I wish I could write more about my feelings surrounding everything but it's 11pm and we need to leave the hotel at 2am for the airport!
I'll miss everyone terribly.
If you're interested in sending letters or care packages I will have an address!

Just in case you don't know where Lesotho is... It's that tiny country completely surrounded by South Africa
